Damage Deposit

Please note that Damage Deposits must be paid before keys are released. In order to determine if damage has taken place or if we are missing items, a pre check-in video is taken by our cleaners before every new guest arrives. This video is used as proof of the contents of the house before you arrive. We will also take photos and/or videos of any damage or where items are missing. If you wish to receive a copy of this pre-check in video before your arrival, I'm more than happy to share that with you via WhatsApp. We are 100% transparent with our damage deposits and very rarely have to withhold anything.
We will let you know about any damage deposit which might need to be withheld before returning the rest of your deposit. Should you need an invoice created for the Damage Deposit withheld, we are more than happy to do that. You just need to let us know who you would like this invoice to be made out to.
We aim to refund damage deposits within 24/48hrs (Mon-Fri) as our cleaner needs time to visit and inspect the house.
In our home, we are understanding about accidents, such as minor incidents like a cup or glass breaking. If a guest accidentally breaks something small, we appreciate them informing us, and we consider the matter resolved. However, in cases where items are significantly damaged, broken, or go missing, we may need to apply charges.

Examples include broken or missing lamps, artwork, mirrors, damaged bed linens or lost keys.

Unlike a hotel, this is our personal space, and our belongings hold sentimental value.

Notifying us of any damage before you depart helps us assess whether charges are necessary.
